Letter A Week

Ms. A came to school this week to talk to the students what sound she makes. She also brought some things along with her that helps students remember some things that start with letter A. Mrs. Kristy made some letter a airplanes for the students for one of their crafts this week.

We played a mystery game with the shapes that we have been learning. What a great fun way to learn corners and sides of shapes. We are still focusing on 2D shapes.

Please remember to practice those report card skills at home as well.
The SMITH COUNTY EMT SERVICE CAME TO SCHOOL TODAY FOR LETTER A WEEK. THEY BROUGHT US TREAT BAGS! IF YOU PARENTS SEE ANY OF THEM OUT ANYWHERE PLEASE TELL THEM THANK YOU! IT WAS VERY NICE TO SEE THEM SO WILLING TO SHARE TIME AND RESOURCES WITH OUR STUDENTS.

MRS. DEBBIE FROM THE LIBRARY CAME TODAY TO READ TO US. SHE WILL BE COMING EVERY MONTH TO SHARE STORIES WITH US. THANKS TO THE SMITH COUNTY LIBRARY FOR YOUR TIME.

YUMMY APPLES AND CHOCOLATE MRS. KATIE PROVIDED FOR THE STUDENTS. WE WILL GRAPH THIS NEXT WEEK. I LOVE TO USE GRAPHS IN PRE-K

Week 2

I have began to test the students for the entrance exam for Pre-K. So far we have had some really good scores. I will send the results home as soon as I finish everyone. It may be sometime next week before I get that done. We want to remind everyone that the first day everyone will be here will be Friday. Please be patience as we will do our best to make sure everyone gets home with their correct lunch bag, snack bag, or what ever it might be. LOL! We appreciate all the nice compliments concerning the first day pictures and art activities. We hope you keep these and treasure them as we do. We also appreciate the supplies everyone has sent. Remember it is not required but GREATLY APPRECIATED BY ALL!

In your child's folder is a copy of the district Pre-K Report Card. We want you to look over this and ask any questions that you might have. I have outlined the 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th nine week skills we will study. We will begin colors and shapes next week.

Please remember to return the family tree project either this Friday or Monday of next week. We can't wait to meet all of our new families. It's always such a proud moment for students to tell about their families.

Thanks for all you do
